SNAP have been on the receiving end of some rather angry mail from religious organisations regarding this particular image. At the time of creating "Hooked" it was not SNAP's intention to offend anyone or any group... religious or otherwise.

However due to the influx of Heroin onto the streets and young people's usage, SNAP changed Karl Marx's quote 'Religion... is the opium of the people' into 'Opium is the religion of the people.'

This image was created by young people for young people...even though it has been criticised by some as being "worse than a Bennetton ad."

Luton Drug Action Team commissioned the postcard (right) to promote needle exchanges to prevent the transmission of Hep C, HIV and other infections.
